JAMESTOWN – The Jamestown Zoning Board of Appeals has once again tabled a variance request involving a cell tower being erected in a residential neighborhood on the west side of the city.
The Jamestown Post-Journal says the zoning board on Wednesday again heard the petition for use and area variances on behalf of Verizon Wireless for a cellphone tower to be installed on property adjacent to 40 Hallock St., where the Hillcrest Baptist Church is located. Residents in the neighborhood have voiced their opposition to the tower.
However, before a decision on the matter could be reached, and following more than two hours of discussion and comments, the board again tabled the resolution until Verizon can provide them with more information about the proposal.
It was the second time the board has tabled the variance requests, with the first discussion held in September.
