JAMESTOWN – The Jamestown Board of Public Utilities will continue its flushing of water mains tonight on the west side of the city of Jamestown and in Lakewood, Ashville, and Busti areas. Flushing will take place from 8 tonight until 4 tomorrow morning. Residents may want to stock a one day supply of water for drinking and cooking before flushing begins in their area.
The water is not harmful but is discolored in appearance. Care should be taken not to draw the discolored water into laundry and hot water systems. Specific details, including street listings, can be found at the BPU website www.jamestownbpu.com or by calling 661-1666.
