JAMESTOWN – A major music event is happening at the Reg Lenna Center for the Arts this weekend.
Swing band Big Bad Voodoo Daddy will perform a concert at the Reg Lenna on Friday, Nov. 4 at 8 p.m.
“America’s favorite little big band” has appeared in concert venues across the world, sold millions of records, and had their music appear in hundreds of movies and television shows including prominent appearances in the 1996 film, Swingers (showing Nov. 2 at 7 p.m. at The Reg) and the accompanying soundtrack.
Big Bad Voodoo Daddy has also performed concerts at the Hollywood Bowl and Lincoln Center and has made television appearances ranging from Dancing with the Stars to Superbowl XXXIII.
Reg Marketing Director, Len Barry says, “Swing music and dance, while classic, are also timeless. Multiple generations can enjoy this concert.”
Barry also noted that a dance area in front of the stage will be open to concert-goers who want to strut their stuff.
Big Bad Voodoo Daddy is sponsored by M&T Bank, DFT Communications and Comfort Inn of Jamestown.
Ticket prices range from $18 to $35 and can be purchased at The Reg box office or over the phone (716.484.7070) now through Friday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Tickets may also be purchased online at RegLenna.com.
