WARREN – Teachers in Warren County, Pa. will likely go on strike starting this Thursday.
That’s according to the Jamestown Post-Journal, which reports that the Warren County Education Association has announced that its 370 members will be on strike as of Thursday.
The WCEA is the collective bargaining unit for teachers and education professionals who work at the four different schools in the Warren County School District – which include Warren, Eisenhower, Shefield and Youngsville.
The strike will result “in the indefinite cancellation of school,” according to a district press release.
The possibility of a strike has been looming over the school district for five months as both the school district and the union have been unable to come to terms on a new contract.
