JAMESTOWN – A Jamestown man wanted on several felony charges – including robbery, aggravated family offense and criminal contempt – is now in police custody, but only after a foot chase and brief manhunt by police.
City police say the department’s bike patrol spotted 25 year-old Shane Eshbach near 16 Bush St. as he was entering a vehicle. They recognized him as being wanted and approached the vehicle, with Eshbach allegedly fleeing from the scene after being notified that he was under arrest.
Eshbach reportedly run through the neighborhood and allegedly entered a home on Crsecent Street – without permission – and tried to hide in the basement. He was eventually located and taken into custody.
Eshbach was charged with resisting arrest and criminal trespass and is currently being held pending arraignment.
