JAMESTOWN – The National Comedy Center (NCC) will be well represented during UPMC Chautauqua WCA’s annual Doctors’ Day luncheon and commemoration taking place Friday, March 31 in Jamestown.
Both NCC Executive Director Journey Gunderson and NCC Chairman Tom Benson will be hand to serve as keynote speakers for the event, given by hospital leadership to salute the more than 170 dedicated physicians who comprise the medical staff at WCA.
The keynote presentation will underscore the NCC, a 501(c)(3) non-profit cultural institution in Jamestown, that is developing the first national visitor experience dedicated entirely to the art of comedy.
Preceding the keynote presentation, James Campion, MD, board-certified gastroenterologist, president of UPMC Chautauqua WCA medical staff, will present the prestigious 2017 Physician of the Year Award—an honor given annually to an outstanding physician in Chautauqua County who is recognized for his or her significant practice experience, compassion, community involvement, and commitment to a healthier community.
