Two Sent to Erie Hospital Following Thursday Morning Accident in Kiantone

September 18, 2014 By WRFA Radio 1 Comment

KIANTONE – Two residents from the Jamestown area were taken to an Erie Hospital for treatment of serious injuries following a two-vehicle accident Wednesday morning on Route 62 in Kiantone.

Chautauqua County Sheriff Deputies say the accident took place at about 5:45 a.m. when 48 year-old Radha Latona of Kiantone was traveling north and entered the southbound lane for an unknown reason. Her vehicle then collided head-on with a vehicle driven by 67 year-old Douglas Bergstrom of Jamestown. Both Latona and Bergstrom were taken to WCA and then flown to Hamot in Erie due to the seriousness of their injuries. No other information was released by sheriff deputies.

The investigation is ongoing and charges may be filed at a later time. Fire crews from Frewsburg and Kiantone assisted at the scene.
