WARREN, PA – Pennsylvania State Police have reportedly found the body of a teenager who’s been missing since late Friday morning.

State police say the murdered body of 18 year-old Marcus Mattson was recovered after a suspect confessed to the crime of killing him. Police say 25 year-old James McDaniel of Russell and 22 year-old Gary Williams of North Cambria have been charged with the crime.

Mattson was last seen late Friday morning, Feb. 5 and was reported missing on Saturday. His vehicle was found on fire late Sunday night in a remote area of Warren County near Youngsville. An ensuing investigation by police led them to the arrest of both McDaniel and Williams.

Police say the break came when McDaniel was questioned and allegedly admitted to the homicide. McDaniel has allegedly said that the murder was the case of a drug deal gone bad, but the district attorney believes it was premeditated and there is no evidence that a drug transaction took place.

McDaniel has been charged with criminal homicide; reckless burning or exploding; conspiracy – reckless burning or exploding; theft by unlawful taking; abuse of a corpse; and tampering with physical evidence. He was arraigned and sent to the Warren county jail without bail.

For his role in allegedly helping to dispose of the body and taking evidence connected to the crime, Williams faces charges of theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, reckless burning or exploding all felonies as well as misdemeanor abuse of corpse and tamper with/fabricate physical evidence. He was sent to jail on $200,000 bail.

I THINK THEY WHERE BOTH THERE WHEN THEY KILLED HIM, AND I BELIEVE THEY BOTH SHOULD BE CHARGE THE SAME. WILLIAMS SHOULD NOT HAVE A CHANCE TO BOND OUT. NOT FREAKING RIGHT AT ALL. YOU DO THE CRIME YOU DO THE TIME. THATS BULL THAT ONE SHOULD BE ABLE TO SKATE WHILE THE OTHER ONE TAKES THE BIG HIT. THEY BOTH THERE , GIVE THEM THE SAME,.
