JAMESTOWN – Police arrested two men and seized a quantity of crack cocaine during a traffic stop Monday night in the city.
According to city police, officers stopped a vehicle on Falconer Street shortly after 11 p.m. Monday for failure to signal. During the investigation, officers discovered that the passenger, 37 year-old Daryel Cotton of Buffalo, was in possession of crack cocaine and charged with felony third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance that was packaged for sale.
Police also arrested the driver, 48 year-old Timothy Hopkins of Celoron after they allegedly discovered he was in possession of a small amount of crack cocaine.
Both men were sent to the city jail for arraignment.
