JAMESTOWN – Two city residents have been charged with making methamphetamine and child endangerment following an investigation into a stolen four-wheeler that took place over the weekend.
City police were investigating a report of a four-wheeler being stolen from a location on Fairmount Ave. in West Ellicott at about 11:30 a.m. The investigation led police to a home at 130 Superior St in the city, where the stolen property was located inside a van in the driveway.
During the investigation, police also noticed materials used for making meth outside the property. Police acquired a search warrant and entered the home and found more materials used for making the drug.
Police arrested both 43 year-old Joseph Casel and 34 year-old Kristen Nelson. Two children were also living in the home and were taken into custody by child protective services.
Both Casel and Nelson were arraigned and sent to the County Jail without bail.
