SHERMAN – A Mayville Man and a Corry, Pennsylvania man each face drug-related charges after been arrested last Saturday in Sherman.
New York State Police say a vehicle driven by 32 year-old Charles Kennedy was pulled over Saturday afternoon on Mount Pleasant Rd. in Sherman for a traffic violation.
A computer check showed that Kennedy had a suspended license. A further investigation allegedly found heroin and fentanyl patches and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.
And his passenger, 28 year-old Brandon Newby, were both charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th. Kennedy was also charged with Driving While Ability Impaired and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th.
Both men will appear in Sherman town court at a later date.
