JAMESTOWN – Two local men have been arrested for allegedly making methamphetamine following a drug investigation by local police.
The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office says several local agencies worked together to execute a search warrant late Monday afternoon at 2997 Burton Rd. in the town of Busti.
The search warrant had been issued earlier in the day based on information brought by the Southern Tier Regional Drug Force and the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force that the location was being used to make meth.
As a result of the search a quantity of equipment and other items were located that are used in the production of methamphetamine.
As a result of this discovery the state police special hazardous cleanup team was called to the scene to collect the toxic materials used in the meth-making process. Also located at the location were two children ages 5 and 9 years old.
Police arrested 54 year-old Jimmie Williams, who is listed as living at the address, along with 33 year-old Adam Swanson of Frewsburg. Both face drug related charges, along with child endangerment charges. Swanson was also wanted on an unrelated warrant and was taken to the Jamestown City Jail where he will be arraigned on that charge.
