JAMESTOWN – A city man has been arrested for allegedly selling heroin from a home on Prendergast Ave.
The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office says several local police agencies executed an arrest and search warrant at 826 Prendergast Ave. at about 8:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.
During the investigation, police say 59 year-old Louis A. Rivera was taken into custody and charged with one count each of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree and Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree.
Police say their investigation found that Rivera allegedly sold quantities of heroin on numerous occasions from the residence. During the search of the home, they also allegedly found a quantity of U.S. currency, cocaine, marijuana, packaging materials for heroin sale and scales used to weigh controlled substances.
Also arrested was 42 year old Jody Buck, who was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, Unlawful Possession of Marihuana and Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the 2nd Degree.
Both Louis A. Rivera and Jody L. Buck were taken to the Jamestown City Jail where they will be held pending their arraignment on the charges listed.
The investigation was a joint effort by the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force, the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force, New York State Police and New York State Parole.
