Arrested on Wednesday, Oct. 22 following separate drug raids in the city were Richard Dean, 38 (left) and Beau Jones, 30.

JAMESTOWN – Jamestown Police arrested two city men Wednesday following the investigation into the making and selling of methamphetamine in the Jamestown area.

City police say 38 year-old Richard Dean and 30 year-old Beau Jones were arrested early Wednesday night following two separate drug raids on Lafayette St. and Forest Ave.

According to police, investigators conducted a raid at 607 Lafayette St. just before 6 p.m. and found Jones inside the residence. Also inside the home was more than 4 ounces of methamphetamine along with several items used to make the illegal drug.

Police say a second team conducted a raid at 238 Forest Ave. just after 6 p.m. and located Dean inside the home. A quantity of methamphetamine and several items used to make the drug were also found inside the residence.

The investigation was conducted by members of the Jamestown Police Department, Town of Ellicott and New York State Police.

Both men face multiple drug related charges and were sent to the city jail to await arraignment.

City police are also asking members of the public to report any drug activity. That can be done by calling the police department’s anonymous tip line at 483-Tips (8477).
