Two Arrested Following Drug Investigation by Local Police

JAMESTOWN -Local police have made yet another arrest in the effort to crack down on the illegal drug trade in the city.

The latest major bust took place on Friday shortly before 5:30 a.m., when the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force, New York State Police CNET and agents from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration executed a search warrant at a home on 10 Sampson St.

Inside, police reportedly seized 130 grams of cocaine and 25 grams of crack cocaine, along with cash, drug paraphernalia and a set of brass knuckles.

Arrested and charged were 38-year-old Odessin McBride and 33 year-old Ashley Mcbride. In addition to drug-related charges, they were also charged with endangering the welfare of a child since their 4-year-old child was living with them.

According to the Post-Journal, the Ring It Wireless cellphone business located at 406 W. Third St. and which was reportedly operated by Oddessin McBride was searched as part of the investigation.
