JAMESTOWN – Two people have been arrested following an investigation at a local hotel just outside the city limits.
According to Jamestown Police, 30 year-old Jensen Vazquez of Jamestown and 27 year-old Jessica Stanford of Ashville have been arrested after police found drugs and a loaded pistol in the Comfort Inn hotel room the two were staying at on Saturday night.
Police were called to the hotel on N. Main St. Ext. in the town of Ellicott shortly before 7 p.m. Saturday after receiving a report of someone allegedly smoking marijuana in one of the rooms.
After investigating and receiving a search warrant, the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force allegedly found a quantity of cocaine, heroin, and a loaded semi-automatic pistol, and a quantity of cash.
Vazquez and Stanford were both arrested on related charges and arraigned in Ellicott Court before being sent to the County Jail.
