JAMESTOWN – Two men were arrested Monday afternoon during a traffic stop in I-86 that authorities say was the culmination of an investigation into the sales and trafficking of heroin in the Jamestown area.
Jamestown Police Captain Robert Samuelson says 35 year-old Adam Turney of Jamestown and 29 year-old Dakotah Kaltenbach of Steamburg were arrested just after 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 21 during a stop on I-86 in the town of Ellicott.
According to Samuelson, during the traffic stop investigators located a quantity of heroin and hypodermic needles inside the vehicle. A two-year old child was also in the vehicle.
Turney was charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Kaltenbach was charged with 3rd degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and Criminal Possession of a hypodermic instrument. Both, were arraigned in the Town of Ellicott Court and sent to the county jail.
