BEMUS POINT – The clean-up continues with a tractor trailer rollover accident that took place Tuesday just outside of Bemus Point near the Route 430-I 86 interchange.
According to the Jamestown Post-Journal, the rollover took place just before 9:30 a.m. when the driver – 36 year old Juan Veraza-Vega of Mexico – was traveling south on Route 430 and reportedly failed to negotiate a curve onto I-86. The vehicle then rolled rover, spilling roughly 300 gallons of a soil stabilizing. After a brief investigation, the liquid was determined to be nonhazardous.
State Police blocked the westbound lane of the I-86 on-ramp while crews worked to clear the scene. Veraza-Vega was uninjured and was charged with unsecured load, unsafe speed, and failure to keep right.
