JAMESTOWN – A Tier 2 North American Hockey League team will once again play at the Northwest Arena.
The former Philadelphia Rebels hockey club have signed an eight-year contract to play in Jamestown.
Jamestown has been without a Tier 2 Junior hockey team since the Ironmen club pulled out in 2013.
Since then the Southern Tier Xpress – a Tier 3 hockey club – has been playing in the arena. That team will not return for a season this fall, though officials say another Tier 3 team could also play at the arena, in addition to the new Rebels’ club.
