JAMESTOWN – Three people have been arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop that took place Monday morning in Jamestown.
City police say 38-year-old Lashon Hayes, 36-year-old Lawrence McGrigg, and a 17-year-old female were arrested after a vehicle was stopped just after 8:30 a.m. at Hazeltine Avenue and Baker Street.
Several different illegal substances were reportedly found during the stop, including heroin, methamphetamine, crack, illegal mushrooms, and marijuana.
Hayes and the teenager were each charged with second- and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, both felonies, and fourth-degree criminal possession of marijuana. The teen was also charged with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance for alleged possession of the crystal methamphetamine and heroin.
McGrigg was additionally charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana.
All three were taken into custody and sent to the city jail to await arraignment.
