BUSTI – Three Busti residents face drug charges after local police shut down a methamphetamine operation on Thursday.
According to the Lakewood-Busti police department, the raid took place at 9 p.m. Thursday at two homes at the Bosko Trailer Park, located at 611 Busti-Sugar Grove Road.
Police say 23 year-old Edward Olsen was allegedly using both trailers to manufacture, store and distribute meth. During the raid Olsen was at one of the trailers and reportedly attempted to flee the scene, but police were able to capture him and bring him into custody.
Also arrested at the scene was 23-year-old Sarah Deering. Both Olsen and Deering were charged with possession of marijuana and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child because two small children were also living inside one of the trailers. Olsen was also charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.
A third person – 29-year-old Brian Olsen – was also found in one of the homes. He was also taken into custody on an outstanding warrant.
Police say the homes were used to make meth through the one-bottle, “Shake and bake” method. Both residences are now sealed and deemed uninhabitable.
