DUNKIRK – Another methamphetamine lab in Chautauqua County has landed three in jail.
According to the Chautauqua county sheriff’s office, 48 year old William Tolbert, 32 year old Barry Mead, and 22 year old Kelsie Briggs have all been charged in the incident.
Officers say that a meth lab was allegedly discovered at a home at 363 Lake Shore Drive while officers attempted to serve an arrest warrant early Tuesday night. When going to the home to serve the warrant, officers saw what they believed were materials used in the making of meth. After receiving a search warrant, officers entered the home and discovered several items used in the production and sale of methamphetamine.
Tolbert and Briggs were charged with third-degree unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia. Mead was charged with one count of fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
