MAYVILLE – There’s just about one month remaining before the 2016 General Election, and anyone wishing to vote in this year’s election needs to be registered within the two weeks.
According to the Chautauqua County Board of Elections, the deadline for citizens to register to vote for the Nov. 8th General Election is Friday, Oct. 14.
County election officials say voter registrations forms are available at all village, town and city halls. Forms can be ALSO found at all county post offices, libraries, Department of Motor Vehicles offices and here at the Board of Elections.
Applications must be postmarked no later than Fri. Oct. 14 and received by a board of elections no later than Oct. 19 to be eligible to vote in the General Election or to change any voter’s party affiliation.
Voters may register in-person at the Board of Elections, 7 North Erie St. Mayville or at any of the three county DMVs no later than Oct. 14. Also, the elections office will be open Sat. Oct. 15th from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. for voter registration and one stop absentee balloting if a voter is planning to be out-of-town on Election Day.
