JAMESTOWN – A female teenager was sent to the hospital Friday after being hit by a truck while crossing the street in Brooklyn Square.
Jamestown police say the 15 year-old, whose name is not being released, was trying to cross North Main St. near the intersection with Harrison St. at about 3:30 Friday afternoon. Officers say ran across the street against the light, didn’t see a southbound truck approaching the intersection, and stepped out in front of it. The driver of the truck had their view obstructed by another vehicle in the turning lane, didn’t see the teen in time and, as a result, hit her.
The teen was sent to WCA hospital for treatment. The driver was not charged.
