July 31, 2015 By WRFA Radio Leave a Comment

lakewood busti policeLAKEWOOD –  The Jamestown Post-Journal is reporting that a 16-year-old girl has died following a two-vehicle accident that took place Thursday night on Fairmount avenue.

The incident took place at about 9 p.m. near the Tim Horton’s in front of the TJ Maxx / Petsmart Plaza.

According to a police report, 17 year-old Jose Rosa Jr. of Jamestown was driving a car east on Fairmount Ave. and made an illegal left hand turn into the Tim Horton’s parking lot and in front of oncoming traffic.  Police say the driver of the westbound vehicle, identified as Daniel Hultin Jr. was unable to avoid hitting Rosa’s car, and his jeep slammed into the passenger side of the car.  The 16-year-old, identified as Genesis Toledo of Jamestown, was a passenger in Rosa’s vehicle. She sustained serious injuries from the accident and was later pronounced dead at WCA Hospital.

Hultin and his passenger were not hurt and were released from the scene following an interview.  Charges are pending against Rosa.
