MAYVILLE – The second day of the Anthony Robert Taglianetti trial took place on Wednesday in Chautauqua County Court.
According to an article in the Jamestown Post-Journal, both the county coroner and medical examiner who jointly performed the autopsy on Keith Reed Jr. confirmed that the victim was shot three times at close range, even indicating a muzzle imprint on the body. The two medical professionals were the only witnesses brought forward by Chautauqua County District Attorney David Foley.
Taglianetti is accused of driving 350 miles from his home in Virginia to the rural community of Clymer to confront and kill Reed the evening of Sept. 21, 2012. Prosecutors say he committed the murder after learning that Reed was allegedly involved in an affair with his wife.
The trial resumes today in county court.
