ALBANY – The New York State Police have been instructed to no longer enforce the portion of the SAFE Act that forbids more than seven rounds in a magazine, according to the New York State Rifle & Pistol Association. The reported change comes after a ruling by a federal court judge that declared that part of the law unconstitutional.
The Rifle & Pistol Association has spent over $500,000 fighting the SAFE Act and the organization says they are prepared to take their fight all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court.
