JAMESTOWN – Jamestown’s St. Susan Center will continue the monthly “Soup and a Song” series of programs tonight. The fundraiser for the area’s soup kitchen combines concerts by popular local musical groups with an open-mic, starting at 6:30 this evening at the St. Susan Center. For the modest admission price of $10, attendees will be treated to an evening of fine live musical entertainment and a meal consisting of hearty soup and beverages. The program is coordinated by Trinity Guitars in Jamestown.
This is the third and final installment of the 2012 Soup and a Song program series. St. Susan Executive Director Sue Colwell says it has been a great boost for the operation.
The Kidder United Methodist Church praise band, Kidder Alive will be tonight’s featured performer. Kidder Alive features Steve Swanson, Bob Servis, Valerie Murphy, Jason Tonon, Dick Gould, Bonnie Sleight, Jim Holler and Rick LaDue.
The Soup and a Song event will run from 6 to 9:00pm this evening.
We’ll have more on the Soup and Song Fundraiser later today during Arts on Fire at 1 p.m., when we talk with Colwell, Kidder Memorial’s Rick LaDue, and Trinity Guitars Jim Holler.
