JAMESTOWN – The head of the St. Susan Center will be leaving her post later this year. The Jamestown Post-Journal is reporting Monday that current St. Susan executive director Sue Colwell will be retiring from her position that she’s held for the past four years. The decision to retire is so she can spend more time with her family.
The St. Susan center board of directors will establish a search committee, which will be used to help find a new executive director by November. Meanwhile, Colwell will continue to help out at the center in a volunteer capacity.
The St. Susan center is the largest operating Soup Kitchen in Chautauqua County, serving hundreds of meals on a daily basis. It is located inside the Gateway Center building on Water St. in Jamestown.
