SINCLAIRVILLE – The wife of the Sinclairville man who escaped from police custody during a court appearance earlier this month is now in jail for allegedly aiding and abetting her husband, along with drug-related charges.
The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office says 30 year-old Kelsey Raynor of Sinclairville was taken into custody while appearing in Charlotte Town Court on an unrelated issue.
An arrest warrant had been issued for her earlier on charges related to helping her husband – Jacob Raynor – during his escape from Town Court on March 7. Other charges were related to the manufacturing of methamphetamine.
Police say after Jacob Raynor’s escape, his wife allegedly assisted by hiding him, cutting his handcuffs off, and providing him with other assistance until he was finally captured on March 14, when police found him hiding in a crawlspace inside his Sinclairville residence.
Raynor was arraigned in Charlotte Town Court and sent to the county jail.
