SHERMAN, NY – A Sherman man is recovering from injuries after being involved in a one-vehicle accident late Friday night.
Sheriff Deputies say 22 year old Kasey Erhard was traveling along Mt. Pleasant Rd. just before midnight Friday when his car left the roadway. A sheriff patrol spotted the vehicle and found that it sitting in a drainage ditch and the engine compartment had caught fire.
The responding Deputies put out the fire and the Sherman Fire Dept. was called to the scene to extract Erhard from the wreckage. He was transported to an unidentified Erie hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Charges are pending following a further investigation.
