SHERMAN – The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s office is asking for the public’s help in solving a burglary that took place in the town of Sherman offices earlier this month.
Sheriff Deputies say the burglary took place between Thursday Night and Friday Morning at the Sherman Town Court/Town Offices, located at 111 Mill St.
The say a large safe was stolen which contained a small quantity of cash. More importantly, the safe contained important town records, particularly the cemetery records.
Authorities say it is extremely important that these cemetery records are recovered.
