POMFRET, NY – The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal, one-vehicle crash that took place Thursday night in the town of Pomfret.
A report from the sheriff’s office says the crash happened around 10:20 p.m. Thursday on Ellicott Road. Following an investigation, deputies determined that a male driver had lost control of the vehicle and traveled down a ravine. The driver died from injuries sustained in the crash and his name is being withheld at this time.
Both the Sheriff’s Office and Fredonia Fire Department responded at the scene. The Investigation into the crash is ongoing.
