MAYVILLE – Chautauqua County Sheriff Deputies have arrested a Jamestown man and a Westfield man following a lengthy investigation into a series of burglaries that recently took place in the Westfield and Portland areas.
Investigators with the Sheriff’s office say 25 year-old Russell Genovese Jr of Jamestown was charged with 3rd degree Burglary for his alleged involvement into an incident that took place on Bliss Road in the Town of Portland. He was also charged with possession of stolen property in relation to another incident that took place in the town of Sheridan.
Police say 26 year-old Adam Robinson of Westfield was also charged with 3rd degree Burglary and multiple counts of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property for several incident that took place in Jamestown, Westfield and Sheridan.
Investigators say the arrests came after a large amount of stolen property was located at the homes of both men.
The two were arraigned and sent to the county jail.
