JAMESTOWN – Several downtown streets will continue to see work this week.
The County will close down the Main St. Bridget in Brooklyn Square to just one-lane both Monday and Tuesday. The closure is needed to facilitate soil borings. Motorists should expect delays, and may wish to use alternate routes of travel.
Also, Potters Alley from E. Second St. to E. Third St. will be closed to through traffic for the next few weeks. A dumpster will be placed on the north end of the alley to facilitate major redevelopment of the former M&T Bank Building on 3rd and Main Streets – which is being converted into the new office space for Digetel. Motorists will still be able to enter and exit the alley from the East Second Street end.
Construction also continues on the Third Street Bridge – which is expected to be reduced to just two lanes of traffic for the second consecutive week – along with Lakeview Avenue being closed to through traffic between Sixth St. and Falconer St.
