MAYVILLE – Sen. Cathy Young (R-Olean) was in Mayville Tuesday for the Presentation of two New York State Senate Liberty Medals to Two Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Deputies.
Young joined County Sheriff Joe Gerace and County Executive Vince Horrigan, along with other local officials, in presenting the Medals to Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Deputies Jason Beichner and Christopher Howlett, who helped to save the life of a motor cycle accident victim on November 18, 2016.
The Liberty Medal is awarded by the New York State Senate to individuals who have merited special commendation for exceptional, heroic, or humanitarian acts and achievements on behalf of their fellow New Yorkers.
