ALBANY – A half-dozen female members of the State Legislature – including Senator Cathy Young of Olean – have received death threats that are being investigated by the State Police and FBI.
That’s according to a report in the Buffalo News this week that said the threats were sent out during the past month, with one of those threats being received by one of the lawmakers on Monday.
The letters were reportedly sent from New York City and accuse the legislators of being racist. There was no other theme to the threats pertaining to any specific subject.
The State Police has stepped up its presence at the state legislative chambers this week.
