ALBANY – Senator Cathy Young (R-Olean) is offering her thoughts on the state budget that was passed last week, saying it achieves the Senate Republicans’ goals of
reducing state spending with no new taxes and creating new private sector jobs.
In a recent media release, Senator Young also said that the 2012-13 budget also includes mandate relief that will ease the burden on our taxpayers. And between last year and this year, the state has been able to close a $13 billion deficit. As a result, Senator Young said she applauds Governor Andrew Cuomo for his leadership and for working with both houses to deliver bipartisan results.
