JAMESTOWN – Several state and local officials will meet in Kiantone Friday afternoon to dedicate a portion of Route 60 in Jamestown as the “PFC Charles S. Cooper, Jr. Memorial Highway.”
A native of Chautauqua County, Cooper was tragically killed in action on April 29, 2005 by a roadside bomb in Baghdad.
Assemblyman Andy Goodell sponsored a bill to enact the designation following a unanimous vote by the Chautauqua County Legislature.
