CORNING – Congressman Tom Reed (R-Corning, NY 23) is hosting a regional manufacturing summit in Corning today.
The event will feature a variety of manufacturing officials from across the state’s 23rd congressional district and will focus on identifying ways to improve business opportunities in the region.
According to Reed’s office, the day-long, event will bring together over 200 manufacturers from across the Twin Tiers, Western New York including Buffalo, and the Finger Lakes. In addition to Reed, others who are expected to attend include State Senator Tom O’Mara and Assemblyman Phil Palmesano, along with regional economic development professionals, public policy professionals, and experts in advanced manufacturing fields.
Attendees will hear from policy experts, economic development agencies and lawmakers about opportunities that are available to U.S. manufacturers. They will also be given the opportunity to meet with area organizations that can help expand production and enjoy networking opportunities.

This is the second summit Reed has sponsored. The 2015 summit was held in Jamestown.
