JAMESTOWN – Arson is the reported cause of a weekend fire that destroyed a vacant apartment house on the city’s east side.
On Saturday morning city fire fighters were called to a blaze at 192 Falconer Street – just east of the intersection with Stowe St.
According to a local news report, the blaze began in the back of the building and spread through-out the structure and it took fire crews about an hour and a half to bring it under control. The building was a total loss.
Jamestown police and fire investigators are now looking for those who may have started the fire. Anyone who may have information into the arson is asked to call the Jamestown Police Department.
