JAMESTOWN – The Roger Tory Peterson Institute of Natural History (RTPI) is hosting a showing of the Banff Mountain Film Festival at the Reg Lenna Civic Center on tonight at 7 p.m.
The Banff Mountain Film Festival is an international competition featuring the world’s best footage on mountain and adventure subjects. The film festival, which began in 1976, takes place annually in early November at The Banff Centre in Banff, Alberta, Canada.
This year’s Tour features an award-winning collection of the best mountain sports films produced in the world, from Canada and Australia to Kashmir and Nepal.
General admission is $15 for adults, $12 for students and children and $14 for RTPI members. Tickets are available for purchase in advance by calling the Roger Tory Peterson Institute of Natural History at (716) 665-2473 or on location at the Reg box office.
