Riverwalk Closed for Bridge Installation

JAMESTOWN – Panzarella Park and the north and south trails of the Greater Jamestown Riverwalk in the Central Business District are closed until further notice.

The announcement was made late last week in order to allow construction work on the two pedestrian bridges that will span the Chadakoin River, linking the north and south trails of the Riverwalk.

Funding for the $2 million project comes from a $1.6 million state grant, with the rest offset by local money.

The Project is slated for completion in the fall of 2018.
