RIPLEY – The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office is announcing the arrest of a Ripley man following another investigation into the making and selling of methamphetamine.

Authorities say 48 year old John Rowicki III was arrested early Friday night following a three-month investigation into the production of meth. Rowicki was arrested during a traffic stop on Route 20 in the town of Ripley after he allegedly sold meth to an undercover agent. Police were able to get a warrant to enter Rowicki’s home at 44 W. Main St. in Ripley and inside they reportedly found items used to make meth.

Rowicki was charged with criminal sale and possession of a controlled substance, unlawful manufacture of meth and endangering the welfare of a child. He was arraigned and sent to the county jail on $50,000 bail.

  1. Cris A Reed says

    January 8, 2016 at 4:25 pm

Hello, my name is Cris A Reed I currently reside at 38 West Main Street Ripley New York. The person I am commenting about is my neighbor, or better to describe him as the person that lives next door. I was involved in a bad motorcycle accident on July 8th 2011. I was not able to return or reside at this residence. Extended period of time spent recovering from skin grafts due to the fire that happed, I was riding a motorcycle and the fuel tank ruptured upon impact. But that’s another story, upon returning to this residence to finish the remodeling that was in progress before the motorcycle accident, I was bewildered by the actions of the person that lives next door listed in the news article. I was curious and did some investigative work and found out from numerous people in the area along with news articles as to what was going on next door to my building. I guess I should get to my question, and at being after all the charges mr. John rowiciki is facing, why is he still residing next door as of January 8th 2016. Would you happen to have any resource that would be able to tell me when his court date or arrangement is I would like to be present during the proceedings
