JAMESTOWN – Two area mental health providers have joined forces to address Chautauqua County’s mental health and drug addiction challenges.
The Resource Center (TRC) and the Mental Health Association in Chautauqua County (MHA) recently finalized a partnership agreement. According to TRC officials, the agreement will formalize a strong alliance that already exists between the two organizations.
The Mental Health Association is a peer support agency that uses peer recovery coaches to help those battling addiction. The Resource Center has developed an integrated approach in delivering services and officials say using the Mental Health coaches enhances the approach.
. Both organizations have been involved in pilot projects with Jamestown Mental Health Treatment Court and have implemented a peer enhanced system of care.
