JAMESTOWN – Reg Lenna Center For the Arts (RLCFA) is asking the community to help feed the hungry.
In anticipation of the Harry Chapin: A Family Celebration concert on October 3 – the Reg will be accepting donations for the St. Susan Center in Jamestown.
The Reg will be accepting donations of non-perishable food, money or checks at the Reg lobby and box office beginning today and continuing until the evening of October 3 at the conclusion of the concert.
Regular collection times will run Monday through Friday from 10am until 5pm at the Box Office. The Reg will also run Wednesday September 24, Friday Sept. 26, Saturday Sept. 27 and Wednesday Oct. 1 from 7 to 10 p.m., before and during Movies at The Reg screenings.
And A final collection effort will take place Friday Oct. 3 from 6 to 10 p.m., before and during Harry Chapin: A Family Celebration.
The late singer-songwriter Harry Chapin was a longtime advocate for ending world hunger and was the founder of WhyHunger in 1975 and is the namesake of Harry Chapin Food Bank and the Harry Chapin Foundation.
