Congressman Tom Reed will be in Chautauqua County this morning to discuss waterway infrastructure improvements from Chautauqua Lake and Lake Erie. The Corning Republican, who’s represented Chautauqua County since January of this year, will be at Dunkirk Harbor to provide more details on the Water Resources Reform and Development Act.
The Act was recently overwhelmingly passed by the House and supports projects like dredging and navigation improvements, combating invasive species, flood protection and environmental restoration.
Assemblyman Andy Goodell, County Executive Greg Edwards, representatives from the Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy and other local elected officials and community stakeholders are slated to also be on hand.
