JAMESTOWN – Congressman Tom Reed (R-Corning, NY 23) will be in Jamestown Wednesday to a hold roundtable discussion on diabetes.
The Corning Republican will join local officials, healthcare professionals and local community members who’ve been impacted by diabetes.
The appearance is part of Reed’s effort to provide an update on the work he is doing in Washington to focus on diabetes, such as the Special Diabetes Program, new insulin device coverage, and insulin cost control. He will also be asking participants to share their stories and experiences with him.
Reed says that diabetes is an issue near and dear to his heart because his son is a type 1 diabetic.
The appearance will take place at UPMC Chautauqua WCA Diabetes Education Center at Jones Memorial Health Center.
