JAMESTOWN – Prendergast Library will offer a Citizen Preparedness Corps training session at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11, on the topic “Prepare, Respond, Recover: What to do When Disaster Strikes.”
The event is offered in partnership with New York State and the American Red Cross.
AmeriCorps member Alli Bowman will provide an overview of how to prepare for, respond to and recover from natural and man-made disasters. Her presentation of approximately an hour will be followed by a question-and-answer session of about 30 minutes.
According to Gov. Andrew Cuomo, New York State is at high risk for man-made, technological and natural disasters.
