JAMESTOWN – The president of the Jamestown City Council is receiving a regional Human Rights award.
Jamestown city council president Greg Rabb has been named the recipient of the 2014 Sarah G. Metzger Human Rights Award from an Buffalo-based organization Housing Opportunities Made Equal – also known as HOME.
HOME is a not-for-profit, membership based, civil rights organization working to assure fair and equal housing for all. The organization’s mission is to promote the value of diversity and to ensure the people of Western New York an equal opportunity to live in the housing and communities of their choice– through education, advocacy, enforcement of fair housing laws, and the creation of housing opportunities.
Rabb will receive the award during HOME’s 51st Anniversary Celebration on Friday, April 25 in Buffalo.
